Usually when I suggest picking up the phone and ringing potential customers, people give me a look of absolute horror. But throughout my career I have made thousands and thousands of calls, cold calls, warms calls and everything in-between.  AND NOTHING BAD HAS HAPPENED… I haven’t had my house torched, I’m not growing gills. Instead, I have made a huge amount of money for my clients.  

The problem is that telesales and telemarketing have picked up a very bad reputation over the years and un-trained, pushy, commission only sales agents aren’t making things any better.  The absolute best way to make sales calls work, is for the person making them to know all about their business, to have passion, to be able to make decisions while they’re on the call.
